My father, Laurence Bagley painted a number of the pictures used on some of the Good Companion series of jigsaws, usually signed "BAGLEY". I wonder if you know of anyone that has a list of these puzzles with the artists names. Confusingly there is also a GS Bagley (no relative) who painted one or more in the series. I'd appreciate any information as I'd like to catalogue his work.

Hello:

I just wish to congratulate you on having some wonderful stuff on your site especially to do with Merton Park Studios.

My father worked there many times and was involved in a number of films as a camera operator, his name was "Brian Rhodes", I have been looking for some time to see If there are any copies of his old films available on DVD etc but I've had no luck.

I notice you have some film stills, do you sell any of these these or do you know where I could get some copies etc.

Yours sincerely

Tony Rhodes...

I was born in Biormingham, England and i would sit with my Mother (a crazed Paul T.fan) and listen, to Paul, Steve and Sir Graham. Shortly there after i passed an audition for BBC's "Children's Hour" and was given a key to the wonderful world of radio drama. In the studio we had half a car which the sound engineer would open and close the door per the scrpit. When i cam to live in Los Angeles i was driving on the 101 Hollywood Freeway and there on KCRW was Paul Temple, i recorded the shows week after week.
Now we have the new productions of the "missing" series from the late forties and Paul,Steve and Sir Graham exist again. Paul Temple taught me there was a life outside Birmngham with nighclubs, fast cars, and villians. The plots were always the same who is "Jonathan" etc but who cared. Each series was a key to a magical world. I'm very grateful to Francis Durbridge, Howard Marion Crawford,Peter Cooke and of course Majorie Westbury. I'm a disc jockey in Palm Springs now (and once in a while i play "Coronation Scot" but look back on my BBC years with warth and wonder. Thank you Paul Temple.

I am fascinated by the amount of interest that still surrounds these films. I used to look forward to the latest EW release at my local ABC.
I watched them again when they were shown on tv and then wondered why they never got further showings. Now I have some "copies", albeit poor quality, and hopefully one day someone may have the sense to release them on DVD.I think they would be suprised by the amount of interest there would be.

Admin reply: Thank you for your comments.
I totally agree with you that these films should be released commercially on DVD.

Have a small collection of John Creasey books that were given to me by my Aunt Carmen, who dated Mr. Creasey between 1966, and 1971. Also have about 25 letters he wrote her, a few pictures, and a manuscript and possibly a very short unpublished story he gave her. Would like to sell them to a collector. Can you help me?
Thank You
Dian Keiser
